Besides its subtleness and erratic life-like action, the beauty of using a hollow-bodied bait like a tube lies in its versatility
Simply by changing the rig on the inside of the tube, you can quickly and effectively go from fishing the top 3 feet of the water column over thick weeds, to fishing the bottom of a 27 ft deep rock ledge in the middle of a river channel. There are very few baits that exist that can rival this type of versatility.
